Penney Stanch spent her career at the Johnson Space Center (JSC). She was Crew Health Care System Manager, developing medical, exercise, and hazard monitoring equipment for astronauts on ISS. In mid-career, she shifted from supporting the health of the crew on orbit to the crew on the ground, obtaining her MPH in industrial hygiene, then moving to Occupational Health. She specializes in hazardous building materials, IAQ, ergonomics, and mishap investigation. Now retired, she consults for Baer Engineering & Environmental Consulting in Austin, Texas. Penney is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE).
