Brian R. Sherman works as a Senior Health & Safety Manager – Ergonomics and Equipment Safety for Tesla in Fremont, California, United States. He has twenty five years professional working experience applying industrial engineering, human factors engineering and biomechanics concepts including ergonomics program development/ application to the workplace. Before joining Tesla, Brian worked for several large organizations in both manufacturing and academia including Johnson Controls, Honda of America, General Motors, North Carolina State University and GlaxoSmithKline. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University in 1992 and a Masters of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering – Human Factors Option from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in 1995. Brian holds CPE certification and is on the Board of Directors for the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics (BCPE). He is also a full member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.
