Rose Figueroa, PhD, CHFP
Dr. Rose Figueroa, PhD, CPE, CHFP, is a Practice Leader at Rimkus specializing in human factors/ergonomics, biomechanics, and safety. She provides consulting and expert analysis across a broad range of sectors, including industrial and occupational environments, consumer products, hospitality, maritime operations, amusement parks, and attractions.
Dr. Figueroa holds a PhD and an MSE in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a BSE in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico- Mayagüez. Her expertise lies at the intersection of human factors, safety, and biomechanics, and is frequently retained for complex projects worldwide. A bilingual speaker and educator fluent in English and Spanish, she is actively engaged in advancing the human factors/ergonomics profession globally through professional leadership, mentorship, speaking engagements, and industry collaboration.
Dr. Figueroa is a champion of equity and inclusion initiatives across industry, academia, and nonprofit organizations. She founded belongIN.org and has collaborated with Fortune 50 companies, Universities, and start-ups on inclusion-focused programs and campaigns. She has led multiple philanthropic initiatives, including statewide relief efforts and national events, and remains actively involved with organizations such as SHPE, HFES, IAAPA, ASTM International, IEEE, and STRN (Sports Tech Research Network).
