BCSP Revises CoC Credit for Safety Professionals Achieving Professional Ergonomist Certification

Date: Tuesday, November 17, 2009

The BCSP (Board of Certified Safety Professionals) recently re-evaluated the CoC (Continuance of Certification) credit granted to Certified Safety Professionals (CSP´s) receiving CPE certification, due to the programs recent accreditation by the NCCA (National Commission for Certifying Agencies). The old credit was 10 CoC points. The new credit is 15 CoC points.

According to Roger Brauer, BCSP Executive Director, national accreditation is one of the factors considered in determining the number of CoC points earned by a CSP in achieving another certification. The most significant factor is how closely the subject matter of the CSP exam matches that of the other certification exam.
